What a fun time I had spending my morning with the children in the EYES program at the Tommy Nobis Center. We talked about potential law office positions , the career goals of the students, and laughed a lot.
Feeding those in need
Forever Fed is a Cherokee County-based mobile food pantry for impoverished neighborhoods. Shelley, along with others including Nancy Prochaska pictured with Shelley below, have volunteered to make this happen in Cobb County over the past three years.
Take Me Out to the Ballgame
Is there a better way to spend a day than at Sun Trust Park with some great people? We certainly can’t think of one! We spent our Sunday in the NAPA Suite with some wonderful friends. Thank you to everyone who could attend!
Hole in One
We spent Friday morning on the green watching Acworth and Kennesaw go head to head in the first annual Acworth-Kennesaw Optimist Mayor’s Golf Tournament! Lots of laughs were shared and memories were made. We are thankful to have been able to participate in such a fun and impactful event. The proceeds from this event go straight back to the children of our communities.
Derek Easterling, mayor of Kennesaw, took home the trophy this year. We are already looking forward to next year’s showdown!
