Cobb Chamber honors Elder Law Firm
Elder Law Firm was honored Monday, Dec. 4, with the Sam Olens Business Community Service Award by the Cobb Chamber for "Exemplary Service in Support of Cobb County's Non-Profit Community." About 20 businesses were nominated for recognition by the chamber. "I am so honored to be chosen among such committed businesses. Each is to be commended for their service to their communities."
Nominated for Kennesaw Business of the Year!
Shelley was one of those nominated this year for KBA's Business of the Year. At Tuesday's luncheon, each nominee was honored and videos they created were shared with those in attendance. The winner will be announced at next month's meeting.
A Rainy Taste!
Elder Law Firm was one of the sponsors at the Taste of Kennesaw Saturday, Nov. 4. A great day, until the skies darkened and soon the clouds opened up, sending many in search of cover!
After-Five Friends!
Kennesaw State was well-represented at Alive After Five Tuesday, Oct. 17, sponsored by the Kennesaw Business Association. Hosted by John Loud, Shelley had some fun with women's basketball coaches Agnus Berenato and Khadija Head.

Elder named to teen center board
Shelley Elder has been named to the board of the Kennesaw Teen Center (KTC). Established by then-Kennesaw City Councilman Bill Thrash in 2011, the center has served more than 175 students in its after-school programs.
Located at Thankful Baptist Church of Kennesaw, the program’s main purpose is to offer learning and enrichment opportunities to students in 6th through 8th grades in the Kennesaw community.
The program has five primary initiatives:
1) Homework Help and Academic Support
2) The D.E.A.R. Program (Drop Everything and Read)
3) Character Enrichment and Development
4) Cultural Awareness
5) Personal Growth
